Advantage Account
A Manulife Bank Advantage Account pays you a premium interest rate on every dollar in your account, gives you unrestricted access to your money and has low fees. We've combined all the features Canadians look for in a bank account. You can choose from three options.
Deposit options
- Make a deposit at any Canadian deposit-taking ABM with THE EXCHANGE2 symbol
- Transfer funds with Internet banking from accounts at other financial institutions.
- Send us a cheque, payable to the account holder. Remember to record the Manulife Bank account number on the back of the cheque. Funds must be in Canadian dollars.
- Make a deposit at a Royal Bank branch.
- Have your income deposited directly to your Manulife Bank account.
Withdrawal options
- Withdraw cash at any ABM (daily withdrawal limit applies). And, if you use an ABM that displays THE EXCHANGE2 symbol, you can avoid convenience fees; however, the ABM withdrawal service charge still applies.
- Make direct payment (debit) purchases at retailers (daily limit applies).
- Write a cheque.
- Set up pre-authorized bill payments.
- Pay bills with Internet banking or over the phone.
Business owners can transfer or deposit excess cash into the Business Advantage Account, earn a high rate of interest1 on every dollar in the account and then easily access the cash again when they need it. This allows the excess cash to earn a high rate of interest without being locked in.
1 The current variable annual interest is applied to all funds in the account. Interest is calculated on the total daily closing balance and paid monthly. Rate is subject to change. Manulife Bank's posted deposit rates are good for new initial deposit amounts of up to $2 million. For amounts greater than $2 million or for more information, please contact Manulife Bank at 1-877-765-2265 or (fax) 1-877-565-2265.

The Advantage Account and Business Advantage Account are offered through Manulife Bank. Manulife and the block design are trademarks of The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company and are used by it and its affiliates including Manulife Bank of Canada.
