What’s the chance I’ll ever need Critical Illness?

Did you know that you have a greater chance of getting a critical illness before you’re 75, than you do of dying?

  • More than 90% of people who have their first heart attack recover
  • 75% of people who have a stroke survive the initial incident.
  • While women have a one in 9.5 chance of developing breast cancer, they only have a one in 26 chance of dying from it.
  • And men have a one in nine chance of developing prostate cancer, and only a one in 27.5 chance of dying from it.

Unexpected costs following a serious illness include not only medicine the government doesn’t cover or getting treatment somewhere else. There is the cost of travel to medical appointments and costs for home help. Added costs might also include renovating your home to accommodate a wheelchair or a chairlift.

Depending on the plan you choose, Critical Illness Insurance can provide a cash benefit ranging from $25,000 to $2,000,000.
